Highlights

• 2012 Annual Meeting
  March 13, 2012 6:00pm
  The Annual Meeting of the Defenders of Crooked Lake will be held at at the Babson Park Women's Club located at 1300 North Scenic Highway, Babson Park, FL.
  Guest speaker has yet to be determined.
  The Pot Luck Dinner will start at 6pm and the speaker and annual meeting will follow at 7pm. The new Defenders T-Shirts will be on sale along with several raffle items.

  2011 Christmas on Crooked Boat Parade
  Dec 10, 2011 5:30pm
  The Annual Christmas on Crooked Boat Parade is sponsored by the Defenders of Crooked Lake. Participating boats should bring a gift for Toys for Tots and meet up off of the County park boardwalk just west of Bob's Landing. Boats will line up and proceed counter clockwise around Crooked Lake.

• 2009 Annual Meeting
  Mar 24, 2009 6:00pm
  The Annual Meeting of the Defenders of Crooked Lake was held at at the Babson Park Women's Club located at 1300 North Scenic Highway, Babson Park, FL.
  Guest speaker was Doug Morrison, of Wirt's Point Nursery, who discussed Xeriscaping and how to have a Florida Friendly yard. 
  The Pot Luck Dinner started at 6pm and the speaker and annual meeting started at 7pm. The new Defenders T-Shirts were or sale.

• Ridge Audubon Society
  Oct 14, 2008 6:00pm
  The Ridge Audubon Society will host a presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 14, by Tricia Martin from the Nature Conservancy. Her subject is "Conservation Planning Tools" and will address ways to ensure that property on the Ridge is being preserved in a manner that will meet conservation goals. The meeting open to the public, will begin with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. at the Ridge Audubon Nature Center, 200 N. Crooked Lake Drive and Scenic Highway in Babson Park. For further information, call the Center between 10-2, M-F at 638-1355.

  The Annual Meeting of the Defenders of Crooked Lake was held at at the Babson Park Women's Club. John Ryan was the guest speaker for the evening. Ryan discussed his Growth Cap Coalition and the Petition to Amend the Polk County Charter.

  The Board Meeting of the Defenders of Crooked Lake are held on first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at the Audubon Society, 200 North Crooked Lake Dr Babson Park, FL 33827. All members are invited to attend.
